Metropolis

Japan is a very dense country, with a large population living on many small islands. The situation is made more extreme by the fact that Japan is mostly covered in rugged mountains, leaving very little land that can be built on.

The Train

is a convenient way of getting around Tokyo. Eventhough, the man on the right has just missed his train, another will come in a matter minutes.

Walking

Since most people take the train downtown, they walk; resulting in busy intersection crossings like this one in Shibuya.

Peace

Although it is easy to be overwhelmed by such a large, fast-paced city, Tokyo has many places where one can relax. Temples are always peaceful. Other times you might find a quite old part of town...
